Admission

The SEMI program accepts both Thai and non-Thai applicants each year. Students of any nationality are strongly encouraged to apply for our program. However, we accept only test score applications. There is no portfolio option.

Admission for THAI Applicants

Applicant Qualification

Applicants must have completed high school, passed an equivalent high school standard test, or be currently in their final year of high school (Grade 12 in the US system or Year 13 in the British system).

Note: Applicants for the admission round must not have confirmed their enrollment in the TCAS Round 1 system.

Minimum Test Score Requirements
ENGLISH TEST

Applicants must achieve the minimum score in one of the following English Proficiency tests:

Applicants who graduated from accredited international schools in Thailand or abroad in which English is a primary language of instruction for at least two academic years will be exempted. However, they will need to provide an official certificate from the school where they completed their degree that the medium of instruction was in English. The certificate of the medium of instruction will be equivalent to a passing score.

 

MATHEMATICS TEST

Applicants must achieve the minimum score in one of the following Mathematics Proficiency tests:

 

SCIENCE TEST

Applicants must achieve the minimum score in one of the following Science Proficiency tests:

Note:

  • The college code for submitting SAT scores is 6806 – CHULALONGKORN U INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING.
  • The college code for submitting ACT scores is 3033 – Chulalongkorn University.
  • The official score report of the tests is valid only when the tests were taken within two years before the application deadline.
  • Applicants must provide the most recent A Level or IB score only. If they have already received an official result of A Level or IB score, they are not allowed to submit the predicted grade.
  • For predicted grade submission, upon receiving the official statement of results, applicants must submit the official A Level or IB exam certificate by the application deadline.
Evaluation Criteria

We will evaluate the applicants based on the following criteria.

  • Accumulated GPA (GPAX) 7.5 %
  • English Proficiency Test Scores 20 %
  • Mathematics Proficiency Test Scores 32.5 %
  • Science Proficiency Test Scores 40 %

In addition, applicants must pass the interview conducted in English.

  1. Complete the application form at https://admission.ise.eng.chula.ac.th.
  2. Scan and upload the pdf files of certified copies of required documents through the application websites.
  3. Validate the form data by clicking “save” and then “submit” the form (Applicants cannot make any changes after the form has been submitted).
  4. Pay the application fee of 1,000 baht through the application website.
Admission Period
  • Early Admission Round (Round 1): November 25-December 25, 2024
  • Admission Round (Round 2): February 26-March 26, 2025

Note: The SEMI program does not accept applications during the early admission period for the first year. However, starting from the second year, the program will also accept applications during the early admission period.
