Industrial Internship

The SEMI program requires all students to register for an internship course and have an internship during the third year’s summer semester. The internship must be at least 280 hours and in semiconductor-related areas under the supervision of experienced engineers in private sectors or government agencies. After completing an internship, students will be evaluated on a pass-or-fail basis.

Here are some companies that offer internships for SEMI students.

  • Silicon Craft Technology PLC (SIC), Thailand’s first and only privately-held Thai semiconductor design company, is internationally recognized as a leading provider of world-class RFID ICs or RFID microchips. As a fabless semiconductor company, Silicon Craft partners with top-tier fabs and OSATs to offer custom ASIC and standard-design microchips for RFID and NFC applications in various form factors.
  • Analog Devices (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is primarily involved in semiconductor testing and development as part of the global operations of Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI). The company operates a testing facility in Thailand, conducting quality assurance, reliability testing, and validation of ICs before they are distributed worldwide.
  • Infineon Technologies (Thailand) Ltd. is a subsidiary of Infineon Technologies AG, a global leader in semiconductor solutions. The company operates in Thailand with a focus on manufacturing, research, and development of semiconductor products used in various industries.
  • Thai Microelectronics Center (TMEC) is a research unit under the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), whose core technology is the process of manufacturing sensors and electronic devices on silicon chips.

In addition, students who participate in the double-degree program with Lunghwa University of Science and Technology will have an opportunity for one full-year industrial internship with a semiconductor company in Taiwan during the program’s fourth year.
